Classroom Expectations


1. Be seated quietly with all materials and supplies when class begins.


2. Complete all assignments on time.


3. Write all assignments in blue or black ink, or typed & printed out.


4. Listen when others are speaking.


5. Respect other’s opinions, space, and belongings.


6. Turn in your homework with the required heading.


7. Practice academic honesty in all assignments, including citing sources you use.

Plagiarism is unacceptable in any assignment.


8. Use correct MLA citation.



Supplies


Each day you are responsible for bringing:


1. A Humanities notebook in which your take your class notes, keeping them in chronological order, with a date & a title at the top of each page. This may be a separate section in your binder for Humanities only.


2. A pen with blue or black ink only


3. If you are taking class notes on your laptop, the laptop must only be used for Humanities work during Humanities class. You must be able to print out the notes & put them in your binder.


4. Binder/Folder containing all handouts


5. Textbook


6. Planner


Missed Assignment Policy


During an excused absence (eg, illness, travel), the student is allowed the number of days absent to make up the work. It is the student’s responsibility to get the assignments & hand them in.


Students absent due to suspension or truancy are required to turn in work the day they return to school.
