Dear Students & Parents:
Welcome to Humanities Summer Reading! Your book is available in the office from Ms. Vanessa.
By enjoying the book selected for Humanities and considering issues such as setting, character, theme, place in time, and geographic location and features, you help prepare yourself for the upcoming year.
While I encourage you to read more than one book this summer, no book substitutions should be made for the required reading. Your book has been chosen to facilitate class discussion and lessons during the school year, particularly the first several weeks of school.
The Grade 6 suggested summer reading is listed at the end of this post. There are also a few excellent books available in the office for Grade 6.
Do answer all the parts of this short book report and be descriptive on the longer sections. Your book report is due on the first day of school. Please give it to your Humanities teacher then.
Please note: Your must write in complete sentences. Spelling does count!
Enjoy your summer holiday & your summer book!
Ms. Griffin
