1. Roman influenced Europe. Be able to fully discuss four achievements of the Romans and then discuss how they influenced the rest of Europe, and beyond - even us today.
2. Be able to compare and contrast the Early & High Middle Ages to the same general period in the Muslim world - 632 CE-1200 CE. Look at education, cultural and political development, literacy, technological advancements, explorations, medicine.
3. Be able to discuss the weaponry and horses of the Middle Ages in detail.
4. Give a brief history of how Islam was founded, by whom, and what century. Know the three most sacred citieis in Islam, inorder of importance. Be able to list and explain the Five Pillars of Faith, and tell me why each is important.
5. Choose two African kingdoms and explain where they were located, why they were important, their most important achievements, and the dates of each kingdom.
6. Be able to discuss at least five of the remarkable inventions of the Chinese. Why do you think that China invent these things before the Europeans? Which ones did the Europeans borrow and expand upon?
7. Discuss China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huangdi's achievements in detail. Understand why we know so much about his government and his rule. Why was he important to China and to history?
