Dear Students:
Humanities Summer Reading is required for incoming Grades 6, 7, 8, and 9. You were given book report forms before school was dismissed for the summer. All of the books are in. If you still have not picked up your book, please do so now.
Your book reports, handwritten on the proper form, are due on the first day back to school, whether you have Humanities that day or not. Make sure you give them to me, in person, and not to your teacher if he or she is different from me.
I hope that you all have a wonderful summer. I am! I have been to see several productions of Shakespeare's plays in various parks around Chicago - the best so far being one set on a Polynesian island in the Pacific Ocean. Tomorrow I am going to visit the Field Museum of Natural History and see the mummies and lots of other excellent exhibits. And I am reading some great books, too, including Shakespeare!
Whether you are having a "staycation" or are traveling, have a terrific time and remember to bring back pictures of what you have seen to share in class!
