3. Be able to discuss the major characteristics of each.

DP HISTORY: Test Monday on consequences of World War II in Europe and Africa.
Also be able to draw specific conclusions about how Hitler's policy of extemination of the Jews ultimately contributed to heightened problems for Palestine/Israel.

GRADE 12: Caribbean History Historical Investigation

First Draft: Due on Wednesday, 29 Feb.
Included with first draft will be the following:
1. Notes and resources/bibliography.
2. Your first draft must be the very best you can write before my comments.
3. Citations
4. 3-4 written pages required, excluding title page, bibliography, etc.
5. Your work must be in a 12 point font

Final Draft due Friday, March 9.
Included with the final draft, in this order, in a new folder shall be:
1. Notes
2. Title page
3. Outline
4. First draft with my corrections & comments on it
5. Final draft
6. Bibliography/Works Cited page
7. Any maps or hand-drawn diagrams that may help to illustrate your work
*Maps and pictures are not included in your page count, but may help your overall assessment if they are relevant to your topic.

GRADE 6: Combined Humanities-English Research Paper

The following is required for the Humanities portion of the Final Draft:

A new folder for this project containing the following, in this order:

1. Note cards and bibliography cards (a folder with a pocket would be good for these)

2. Outline

3. First Draft with my corrections on it

4. Final Draft, including your in-text citations

5. Works Cited/Bibliography page

Optional:

1. Table of Contents

2. Your own art work to illustrate your topic or part of your topic

3. Hand drawn maps that add to the overall value of your work

Humanities Assessment:

Criterion A - Knowledge (What you have learned?)

Criterion B - Concepts (What big ideas have you discovered? Talk a little about those in your conclusion.)

Criterion C: Skills (spelling, punctuation, capitalization, research skills, etc.)

Criterion D: Organization and Presentation (Is your work neat? Is it presented in a folder? Are there diagrams, pictures, or maps? Are all of the required parts of the paper present in your folder?)

NOTE: Do not forget latitude and longitude and other geography skills if they fit with your topic!

GRADE 9: First draft research paper due on Friday, February 24

GRADE 6: 1. Read Chapter 10, The Kingdom of Kush. 2. In your Humanities notebooks, write the vocab and definitions for Chapters 8, 9, and 10. DUE TUESDAY.

GRADE 9: 1. Read pages 119-136. 2. Answer any 4 questions on page 127, and any 3 questions on page 136 in complete sentences. DUE WEDNESDAY.
