Choose a book about any of these ancient civilizations, before 1200 BCE. The book may be about any part of the culture, from mummies to ship building to sailing to architecture, work, farming, agriculture, medicine, etc.
The book may also be a biography of a historical person such as Ramses the Great, King Tutankhamen, Queen Nefertiti, Pharoah Akenaten, Queen Hatshepsut, Nebucadnezar, Sargon the Great, King David, King Solomon, the Queen of Sheba, King Minos, etc..
The book must be brought in & approved by Friday, Dec. 4. If you have chosen to order a book, bring in the title, author, & expected date of arrival for approval.
6V: 1. Read Shake Rattle & Roll, pages 4-11. 2. Do Wordcross. Due Monday. 3. Study for vocabulary test & plate tectonics test on Monday.
6E: TEST Thursday on the 7 major tectonic plates. Be able to draw them on a map of the world.
1. Read pages 16-19 in Geography book. 2. Answer questions 1-6 on page 19. Due Monday.
9th: Look up the Kingstown Settlement (also known as the Kingstown Experiment & the African Settlement), St. Philip's Anglican Church (The Church of the Africans) in Tortola, and the Wreck of the Dona Paula, 1819 off Anegada, on the internet for Thursday.
10th: 1. Read pages 86-87 in Geog book. 2. Answer questions 1-3 on page 87. Due Thursday.
